Exciting Enhanced Promotion Scheme

Have you got what it takes to do the 'double jump' from Level 7 to Level 5 in just ONE season?

The Referees' Committee is looking to encourage those who can meet the criteria below to apply to be considered for the Enhanced Promotion Scheme for the year ending 28/02/2006. Those with most to gain will be likely to be in their late twenties or early thirties as success would give you the opportunity to progress to Contributory League football or higher. Considerable commitment is required.

The criteria are:-

1) From 01/03/2005 to 30/09/2005 - Part 1 - Promotion from 7 to 6

...a) referee at least 20 11-a-side games
...b) be assessed at least 3 times
...c) attend an In-Service Training Workshop for Level 7
...d) pass an examination on the Laws of the Game

2) From 01/10/2005 to 28/02/2006 - Part 2 - Promotion from Level 6 to 5

...a) referee at least another 20 11-a-side games
...b) be assessed at least another 3 times
...c) attend an In-Service Training Workshop for Level 6 referees on promotion
...d) pass another examination on the Laws of the Game

3) Consideration for further Promotion from Level from 5 to Level 4

If under the age of 43, officiate as a nuetral Assistant Referee on at least 5 Supply League matches in the promotion period between 01/10/2005 and 28/02/2006. Candidates can only be considered for nomination to Level 4 once they have passed a Fitness Test based upon Contributory League requirements.

We have had good success with this scheme in the current season - let's keep it up!

Please apply in writing to Vic Skilton c/o County Office or via e-mail to vic.skilton@surreyfa.com. You will need to pass a formal interview to be accepted onto the scheme and applications must arrive by the end of March 2005.
