Notes from the Head of Refereeing - David Crick

a) The right level of fitness for games

I am concerned that Match Officials are officiating when not fully fit thus breaching their obligation to the game and players. Whilst none of us like to let the two teams down, at least by declaring early that you have some problems they may be able to find and alternative match official. Equally you may not be doing yourself any favours physically and probably not the clubs and players either. Please bear this in mind.

b) The use of "blue cards"

It seems that Blue Cards are not always being issued correctly. They can only be used in Small-sided football and NOT in mini football or in any 11-a-side match.
